Afet kssab meAss
The book is about a young sahelian girl called Afet who suffers from nomadic life but decides to take her own decision when she is forced to marry her cousin. I spent eleven days with a nomad family called “The Barkays” and travelled from Rora Bakla till Karora to document detailed information about nomadic life. Through the story of Afet, I have tried to raise another question regarding this life style. Why do nomads refuse sedentary life? Is it possible to impose it on them? This young fighter will reveal, through her journey, many aspects that would interest policy makers.
